Job summary

Weekday is seeking a Business Analyst in Bengaluru to transform business needs into technical requirements using Sapiens, Java, and SpringBoot. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Bangalore, Karnataka, and Mumbai, translating complex challenges into actionable specs for development teams.

You will champion data-driven decisions, drive process improvements, and ensure alignment with legacy and new technologies while validating solutions through rigorous testing and UAT.

Qualifications

• Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into functional specifications for development teams.
• Design and document system architecture and data flows for Sapiens, Java, and SpringBoot projects.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and developers to prototype and test user interfaces.
• Develop and maintain API specifications and integration points between Sapiens modules and external services.
• Lead the creation of test cases and conduct testing to validate solutions against business requirements.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Provide support during production deployments and coordinate with operations to resolve incidents.
• Produce documentation for system configuration, rules, and user manuals.
• Conduct training sessions to maximize adoption of new functionalities.
• Monitor project progress and identify risks for senior stakeholders.

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in the insurance or financial services industry, with a strong understanding of Sapiens modules.
• Strong proficiency in Java and SpringBoot, including experience developing scalable web services and microservices architectures.
• Demonstrated ability to bridge technical and business teams, translating complex requirements into actionable development tasks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with a data‑driven approach to decision making.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) and experience working in fast‑paced, iterative environments.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to create clear documentation and present findings to diverse audiences.
• Hands‑on experience with API design and integration patterns, such as REST, SOAP, and OAuth.
• Adept at quality assurance processes, including test case development, defect tracking, and user acceptance testing.
• Experience using project management tools (Jira, Confluence, Trello) and business analysis tools (BPMN, Visio, Lucidchart).
