The UrbanIndia is hiring a Bus Captain for night shift in Chennai. This full-time role involves boarding passengers, guiding them to seats, and ensuring onboard facilities meet promised standards.

You will travel with the bus, expect 8 to 14 hours on duty, and perform daily checklists while coordinating with customers to gather ratings and reviews. Salary offered ranges from INR 15,000 to 18,000 per month in hand, plus performance-based incentives.

Qualifications

• Hospitality and customer service experience preferred.
• Must travel with the bus and reach boarding point daily.
• Professional behavior; welcoming and polite language.
• Good communication skills.
• Excellent English fluency; knowledge of a local language.

Responsibilities

• Owning the responsibility of boarding the passengers to our buses.
• Reaching allotted bus boarding point on time and assist passengers reaching their respective seats.
• Maintaining a daily checklist to ensure bus facilities meet promised standards.
• Calling passengers if they are late and guiding them to the boarding point.
• Coordinating with stakeholders to highlight issues and improve passenger experience.
• Responsible for spot bookings and keeping daily accounts of the same.
• Travel with the bus and return the next day (8 to 14 hours travel time).
• Assisting passengers with needs and promised amenities during the journey.
• Communicating with customers during or after journey to get ratings and reviews.

Job Responsibilities

• Owning the responsibility of boarding the passengers to our buses.
• Reaching allotted bus boarding point on time and assist passengers reaching their respective seats.
• Ensuring facilities on the bus are as promised to our customers hence maintaining a daily checklist.
• Calling passengers if they don't reach on time and guiding them to the boarding point.
• Involving with all the stakeholders to highlight the issues and improve the passenger experience.
• Responsible for spot bookings and keeping daily accounts of the same.
• Travelling with the bus and coming back next day (8 to 14 hours travel time).
• Assisting passengers with respect to their needs and promised amenities during the journey.
• Having Communication with Customers on journey or after journey to get ratings & reviews.

Job Requirements/Skills
