Job summary

P R Consulting Engineers in Pune is seeking a Civil/Structural engineer with 5–7 years of experience in bridge and structure design for government road projects across Maharashtra. You will work on RCC/PSC girder bridges, box culverts and ROBs, performing analyses per IRC codes and preparing DPRs with MIDAS Civil, STAAD.Pro and AutoCAD.

The role requires hands-on design work, review participation with clients and proof consultants, and guiding junior engineers and CAD staff, with occasional site

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in bridge and structure design with a consultancy.
• DPR experience for PMGSY/MMGSY, State PWD or NHAI roads preferred.
• Strong command of IRC codes and prestressed concrete design.
• Hands-on MIDAS Civil, STAAD.Pro and AutoCAD; Civil 3D knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hydraulic and design calculations, GADs and detailed drawings; coordination with survey, hydrology and highway teams.

• Attend client and proof-consultant reviews (PWD, MRRDA / PMGSY, WRD) and resolve design queries.
• Guide junior engineers and the CAD team.

Job description

• Design of bridges and cross-drainage structures (RCC / PSC girder bridges, slab bridges, box culverts, minor bridges, ROBs and flyovers) for PMGSY / MMGSY, PWD and WRD road projects across Maharashtra.
• Structural analysis and design as per IRC:6, IRC:112, IRC:78, IRC:SP:13 and IRC:SP:82; load combinations, substructure and foundation design (open, pile and well foundations).
• Hydraulic and design calculations, GADs and detailed drawings; coordination with the survey, hydrology and highway teams.
• Modelling in MIDAS Civil / STAAD.Pro; checking of designs and quantity estimates for DPRs.
• Attend client and proof-consultant reviews (PWD, MRRDA / PMGSY, WRD) and resolve design queries.
• Guide junior engineers and the CAD team.

Preferred candidate profile:

• B.E. / B.Tech (Civil); M.E. / M.Tech (Structural) preferred.
• 5-7 years in bridge and structure design with a consultancy; DPR experience for PMGSY / MMGSY, State PWD or NHAI roads preferred.
• Hands‑on MIDAS Civil, STAAD.Pro and AutoCAD; working knowledge of Civil 3D is a plus.
• Strong command of IRC codes; prestressed concrete design experience.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Pune; occasional site visits across Maharashtra.
