Job summary

India Shelter Finance Corporation is seeking a Recovery Manager to drive recovery on 60+ DPD/NPA accounts, coordinate legal action, and lead field operations. The role involves settlement negotiations, asset recovery, and vendor management to ensure compliance and target achievement.

You will review delinquency reports, plan action steps, and work with advocates and internal teams on escalations and write-offs while adhering to RBI guidelines and the company policy.

Qualifications

• Graduation is required.
• Experience in recovery and NPA handling preferred.
• Familiarity with RBI guidelines and banking operations.

Responsibilities

• Recovery and bucket management to targets.
• Review delinquency reports daily and plan actions.
• Field visits and negotiations for settlements, restructuring, OTS.
• Track PTP follow-through and escalations of non-cooperative borrowers.
• Initiate legal notices under SARFAESI, NI Act, arbitration, DRT.
• Coordinate with advocates; track court dates.
• Manage possession, valuation and auction of secured properties.
• Trace absconding borrowers and guarantors.
• Lead recovery executives and field agents; weekly reviews.
• Manage collection agencies and vendors; monitor performance.
• Follow RBI guidelines; maintain records; submit MIS.
• Coordinate with sales, credit and operations on early-warning signals.

Key responsibilities

Recovery and bucket management

• Drive recovery on 60+ DPD and NPA accounts against targets for collection efficiency, roll-back and NPA reduction.
• Review the delinquency report daily and set account-wise action plans.
• Run field visits and negotiations for settlements, restructuring and OTS within approved policy.
• Track PTP follow-through and bounced cases; escalation non-cooperative borrowers early.

Legal and asset recovery

• Initiate and follow up on legal notices: SARFAESI Section 13(2)/13(4), Section 138 NI Act, arbitration, DRT.
• Coordinate with advocates and track court dates and case status.
• Manage possession, valuation and auction of secured properties through approved agencies.
• Trace absconding or untraceable borrowers and guarantors.

Team and vendor management

• Lead, train and monitor recovery executives and field agents.
• Allocate portfolio, set targets and hold weekly reviews.
• Manage collection agencies, legal vendors and repossession agents, including performance and payout checks.

Compliance and reporting

• Follow RBI guidelines, the Fair Practices Code and the company collection policy; no coercive practices.
• Maintain accurate records of visits, communication, legal files and receipts.
• Submit MIS on collections, NPA movement, provisioning impact and legal status.
• Coordinate with sales, credit and operations on early-warning signals, documentation gaps and write-off or compromise proposals.
