Suguna Foods in West Bengal is seeking a hands‑on Poultry Production and Ops Manager to oversee chick allocation, resource planning, HR and sales logistics. The role focuses on maintaining SOPs, ensuring animal health, and optimizing farm performance while managing field staff and trader relationships.

You will lead meetings, monitor dashboards, address high mortality, and ensure accurate data across production, sales and accounts. Prior experience in similar roles is essential.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of poultry industry experience in West Bengal is preferred.
• Experience in a branch manager role is highly valued.
• Strong understanding of farm operations and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Plan chick allocation by space and demand; coordinate farm capture with ETS.
• Ensure feed, medicine and equipment availability; minimize inter-farm transport.
• Monitor productivity, SOPs, seasonal management; address mortality spikes.
• Conduct farmer meetings, review performance, and drive corrective actions.
• Verify vaccine/medicine schedules, storage (FIFO) and hygiene reports.
• Track competitor performance and report findings for competitive insight.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

Candidates with a minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in the poultry industry within West Bengal, preferably in a Branch Manager role, will be given the highest preference.

Role & responsibilities:

Production & Operations

• Plan chick allocation (sq. ft., market demand) and coordinate farm capture with ETS.
• Ensure feed, medicine, and equipment availability; minimize inter-farm transport.
• Monitor farm productivity, SOP compliance, and seasonal management; address high mortality (0.2%+).
• Conduct farmer meetings, analyze performance, and implement corrective actions.
• Verify vaccine/medicine schedules, storage (FIFO), and hygiene reports.
• Track competitor performance and report findings.

Administration & HR

• Manage manpower, HR records, and farmer/trader relationships.
• Ensure office/farm safety, training, and staff evaluations.
• Review agreements, expenses, and performance records (production/sales/accounts).
• Maintain visual performance dashboards and escalating issues promptly.
• Recognize top performers (farmers, staff, traders).

Sales & Logistics

• Coordinate bird lifting with traders (preferably single-day to cut costs).
• Verify daily sales, stock, cash collection, and pricing (vs. RO rate).
• Manage inventory (medicine/vaccines/equipment) and petty cash.
• Monitor farmer/trader payments and ensure system data accuracy.
