Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Branch Head, Agency Channel for a leading Life Insurance company in Ahmedabad. The role oversees branch operations, drives sales through the Agency Distribution Channel, builds an advisor network, and leads a team of Agency Managers/Development Managers.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in Life Insurance sales, strong leadership, and a proven record in agency/agent development with good knowledge of the Ahmedabad market. Graduation is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Life Insurance sales (BFSI) or related field.
• Strong experience in the Agency Channel.
• Experience in leading a branch sales team and managing advisors.
• Graduate preferred.

The incumbent will be responsible for managing branch-level business operations, driving sales through the Agency Distribution Channel, developing the advisor network, and leading a team of Agency Managers/Development Managers.

Role & responsibilities

• Drive branch sales and business targets through the Agency Channel.
• Lead, coach, and manage the branch sales team to achieve business objectives.
• Recruit, onboard, activate, and develop Life Insurance Advisors/Agents.
• Build and strengthen the agency network to improve productivity and business growth.
• Monitor team performance, productivity, persistency, and other key business parameters.
• Ensure regular field activity, customer meetings, lead generation, and conversion by the team.
• Develop local market strategies to increase branch penetration and revenue.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide guidance to team members.
• Ensure adherence to company processes, compliance, and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain strong relationships with agents, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Analyse branch performance and implement corrective actions wherever required.

Preferred candidate profile

• 6+ years of relevant experience in Life Insurance / BFSI sales.
• Strong experience in the Agency Channel is preferred.
• Candidates with experience as Branch Head / Branch Manager / Senior Agency Manager / Sales Manager may be considered.
• Proven track record of achieving sales and team targets.
• Experience in team handling and agency/agent development.
• Strong recruitment, relationship management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Should have good knowledge of the Ahmedabad local market.
• Candidate should be target-oriented and comfortable with field sales.
• Graduate preferred.
