Job summary

Jobitus is seeking a BOQ / Estimation Engineer in India to study project drawings, perform quantity take-offs and prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates for projects in Coimbatore and nearby areas. You will support tender submissions, rate analyses, cost control and reconciliation, and work closely with project managers, site teams, procurement, planning and finance.

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
• 3–6 years of proven experience in quantity estimation, costing, or tendering within the construction or fit-out industry.

Responsibilities

• Drawing & Document Review: Study architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, specifications, and contract documents thoroughly before project execution.
• Quantity Take-Offs: Calculate accurate material, equipment, and labor quantities from design drawings using standard measurement methods.
• BOQ Preparation: Create clear, structured, and itemized Bill of Quantities documents detailing item descriptions, units (m³, m², kg, Nos.), and precise quantities.
• Rate Analysis: Conduct detailed rate analyses for project items by evaluating current material costs, labor rates, overheads, and profit margins.
• Tender & Bid Support: Prepare cost estimates and documentation for tender submissions, client proposals, and subcontractor evaluations.
• Cost Control & Reconciliation: Compare planned BOQ estimates with actual site execution, monitor variations, and assist with budget tracking.
