Job summary

Ssd Oil Mills is seeking a trained boiler operator to manage startup, operation, and shutdown of high-pressure boilers and associated steam systems. You will monitor DCS/PLC interfaces, gauges, and meters to ensure safe water levels, fuel feeds, and steam pressure.

Preferred candidates hold a second class boiler operator certification and have hands-on experience with preventive maintenance and statutory inspections, ensuring compliant operation of the plant machinery.

Qualifications

• Certification as a boiler operator (second class) is preferred.
• Experience with high-pressure boilers and steam systems is desirable.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance helpful.

Responsibilities

• Operate, start up, monitor, and shut down high-pressure boilers and steam turbines.
• Monitor gauges, meters, and DCS/PLC interfaces to maintain water levels, fuel feeds, and steam pressure.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety checks, handing over equipment for inspections.

• Operations: Startup, monitor, and shutdown high-pressure boilers, steam turbines, and feed pumps.
• Monitoring: Track gauges, meters, and DCS/PLC interfaces to maintain correct water levels, fuel feeds, and steam pressure.

• Water Treatment: Monitor DM water parameters, chemical dosing, and blowdown tasks.
