Job summary

Arrcus, Inc. in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a Technical Lead for Network Platform Software Development to drive design, implementation and delivery of key networking features.

You will collaborate with product and customer teams, write specs, mentor engineers, and help scale the ACE platform across complex data paths and QoS/L2/L3 technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Computer Engineering/CS or equivalent.
• Ability to write high-quality C/C++/Go/Python code.
• 16+ years of hands-on development experience in networking/systems.
• Deep understanding of Broadcom SDK, P4 and DPDK.
• Strong knowledge of Linux OS internals, memory management and network stack.
• Experience with RIB/FIB and Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL).
• Knowledge of QoS, L2/L3 technologies and data paths.
• Familiarity with ASIC pipeline architectures (Broadcom:XGS).

Responsibilities

• Understand new requirements with customers and product teams.
• Write Feature Spec covering requirements and detailed design.
• Implement improvements and features individually or as part of a team.
• Triage, resolve internal and customer-found issues.
• Evaluate, integrate third-party libraries.
• Peer review of Feature Spec, Code, Test Plan and other docs.
• Improve performance and scale of existing features/solutions.
• Mentor new hires and assist with onboarding.
• Plan, schedule, track and report project status to customer delivery.

Responsibilities

• Work with customer and product teams to understand new requirements
• Write Feature Spec covering the requirements and detailed design

Education/Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent degree
• Ability to write high quality C/C++/Go/Python code
• 16+ years of relevant hands-on development experience in some of the following technologies
• Deep understanding of pipeline architecture of one or more ASIC families ( Broadcom:XGS)
• Architect/design/develop data path for L3 technologies: IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, Segment Routing (SR)/SRv6, VRF, L3VPN
• Architect/design/develop data path for QoS technologies: Queueing, Classification, Policing, Marking, shaping, ACL, ECN, WRED
• Architect/design/develop data path for L2 technologies: STP, LLDP, sFlow, LAG, MLAG
• Deep understanding of Broadcom SDK, P4, DPDK
• Linux OS internals, memory management and network stack
• RIB, FIB, and Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL)
• High Availability, ISSU, Linux networking
• Debian Build/Packaging, Linux Kernel, Kernel Networking Stack
• Containers, Virtual Machines (VM)
