Job summary

Arrcus Inc. seeks a Senior Technical Lead in Network Platform Software Development in Bengaluru to drive architecture, design and delivery of complex network software across L3/L2 data paths.

You will lead features end-to-end, collaborate with product and customers, and mentor juniors while shaping scalable, high-performance solutions. The position requires 16+ years in C/C++/Go/Python, strong Linux networking knowledge, and hands-on experience with ASIC pipelines and ecosystem tools.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Engineering/CS or equivalent degree.
• Ability to write high quality C/C++/Go/Python code.
• 16+ years of relevant hands-on development experience.
• Deep understanding of pipeline architecture of one or more ASIC families (Broadcom:XGS).
• Architect/design/develop data path for L3 technologies: IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, SR/SRv6, VRF, L3VPN.
• Architect/design/develop data path for QoS: Queuing, Classification, Policing, Marking, Shaping, ACL, ECN, WRED.
• Architect/design/develop data path for L2: STP, LLDP, sFlow, LAG, MLAG.
• BroadcomSDK, P4, DPDK familiarity.
• Linux OS internals, memory management and network stack.
• RIB/FIB and HAL concepts.
• HA, ISSU, Linux networking.
• Debian/Kernel packaging, Kernel networking.
• Containers and VM experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand requirements with customer/product teams.
• Write feature specs and detailed design.
• Implement improvements and features individually or in teams.
• Triage and resolve issues.
• Evaluate and integrate third-party libraries.
• Peer review of specs, code, and test plans.
• Improve performance/scale of features.

Responsibilities

• Work with customer and product teams to understand new requirements
• Write Feature Spec covering the requirements and detailed design
• Implement improvements and features individually or as part of a team
• Triage, resolve internal and customer found issues
• Evaluate, Integrate third party libraries
• Peer review of Feature Spec, Code, Test Plan and other engineering documents
• Improve performance/scale of existing features/solutions
• Help with interview, onboarding and mentoring of new hires
• Plan, schedule, track and periodically report the project status all the way to customer delivery

Education/Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent degree
• Ability to write high quality C/C++/Go/Python code
• 16+ years of relevant hands-on development experience in some of the following technologies
• Deep understanding of pipeline architecture of one or more ASIC families (Broadcom:XGS)
• Architect/design/develop data path for L3 technologies: IPv4, IPv6, MPLS,Segment Routing (SR)/SRv6, VRF, L3VPN
• Architect/design/develop data path for QoS technologies: Queueing, Classification, Policing, Marking, shaping, ACL, ECN, WRED
• Architect/design/develop data path for L2 technologies: STP, LLDP, sFlow, LAG, MLAG
• Deep understanding ofBroadcomSDK, P4, DPDK
• Linux OS internals, memory management and network stack
• RIB, FIB, and Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL)
• High Availability, ISSU, Linux networking
• Debian Build/Packaging, Linux Kernel, Kernel Networking Stack
• Containers, Virtual Machines (VM)
