Matoshree Madanbai Dhariwal Hosptial Managed by Ruby Hall Clinic Pune is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to maintain and service critical hospital devices. You will install, inspect, test, and commission new equipment and perform routine calibration and safety checks.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, documentation of service records, and coordination with vendors to minimize downtime. On-site work in Shirur, Pune district, Maharashtra is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining medical devices and life-support equipment.
• Ability to prioritize preventive maintenance and safety standards.

Role & responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, and commission new medical equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of biomedical equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and coordinate repairs with vendors and service providers.
• Ensure maximum uptime of critical equipment such as ventilators, monitors, infusion pumps, defibrillators, anaesthesia workstations, etc.
• Maintain equipment calibration schedules and service records.
• Conduct routine safety checks and performance verification of medical devices.
• Coordinate Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and Comprehensive Maintenance Contracts (CMC).
• Maintain inventory of biomedical equipment and spare parts.
• Assist in evaluating and procuring new medical equipment.
• Train clinical and non-clinical staff on the proper use and handling of medical devices.
• Ensure compliance with NABH, quality, safety, and statutory requirements.
• Generate maintenance reports, breakdown analysis, and equipment utilization reports.
• Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and hospital departments for smooth equipment operations.
• Participate in audits and accreditation-related activities.
