Job summary

Axium Global Pvt Ltd in Mumbai's Andheri Delivery Centre seeks a BIM Designer to create precise 3D BIM models of mechanical HVAC systems for flagship projects, collaborating with global MEP design firms. The role requires reading and interpreting MEP drawings, implementing building codes, and performing clash detection to ensure conflict-free designs.

ITI/NCTVT certified draftsman with HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing background preferred. On-site work at Andheri.

Qualifications

• ITI/NCTVT certification with relevant drafting experience in HVAC/electrical/plumbing.
• Experience creating accurate 3D BIM models for mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and sections.
• Familiarity with clash detection and coordination reviews.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for mechanical HVAC systems per project standards.
• Learn and apply services standards and building codes as required.
• Interpret MEP drawings, plans, and sections for design development.
• Prepare detailed design documentation including drawings and layouts.
• Perform clash detection and coordination to resolve HVAC conflicts with building elements.
• Support project documentation and reporting related to HVAC design and performance.
• Stay updated on BIM/HVAC software trends and industry developments.

Job description

This position involves working within the MEP Design & Engineering Team at Axium Global's Delivery Centre in Andheri, Mumbai. The team consists of skilled professionals, including BIM designers, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineers with varied experience. The BIM Designer will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed 3D models of plumbing and firefighting systems for various projects and will be working directly with leading MEP design consulting firms from the UK, USA, Australia and the UAE on flagship projects.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for mechanical HVAC systems in accordance with project requirements and standards
• Ability to learn and implement various services standards and building code
• Ability to understand various MEP drawings / Plans / Section
• Prepare detailed design documentation, including specifications, drawings, and layout plans
• Conduct clash detection and coordination reviews using BIM software to identify and resolve potential conflicts between HVAC systems and other building elements
• Assist in the development of project documentation and reports, providing insights related to HVAC system design and performance
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and software related to BIM and HVAC design
