Job summary

Latinem Private Limited in Dubai is seeking a Senior Mechanical BIM Specialist to join our Design Technology team. You will lead the setting and scaling of Mechanical BIM standards, drive R&D initiatives, and deliver automation and digital workflow solutions for HVAC systems across large-scale developments.

This role sits at the intersection of technology, engineering, and delivery, building tools, templates, and processes that enable project teams to work smarter.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Mechanical BIM / Revit MEP roles.
• Proven experience developing or managing Revit standards, templates, families, and shared parameters.
• Understanding of HVAC design principles, system coordination, documentation, and BIM delivery requirements.
• Familiarity with BIM plugins and data interoperability.
• Ability to create BIM training materials and technical documentation.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical BIM Specialist to join our Design Technology team in Dubai. This is a specialist, engineering-grade role focused on setting and scaling Mechanical BIM standards, leading R&D initiatives, and delivering practical automation and digital workflow solutions for HVAC systems across large-scale, high-end developments.

This is not a production modelling role. You will work at the intersection of technology, engineering, and delivery - building the tools, standards, and processes that enable project teams to work smarter.

BIM Standards & Workflows

Research & Development

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in Mechanical BIM / Revit MEP roles.
• Strong expertise in Autodesk Revit MEP, specifically for Mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Solid understanding of HVAC design principles, system coordination, documentation, and BIM delivery requirements.
• Proven experience developing or managing Revit standards, templates, families, and shared parameters.
• Working knowledge of HVAC load calculation and simulation tools such as HAP and IESVE.
• Experience with MEP / sustainability plugins such as Pollination, MagiCAD, DiRoots, Naviate MEP, Ideate BIMLink, or similar.
• Experience preparing BIM standards, workflows, training materials, and technical documentation.
• Ability to evaluate new tools and recommend practical, scalable implementation strategies.
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work across project teams and disciplines.

Preferred / Advantage

• Experience with Dynamo, Python, or Revit API for automation and scripting.
• Experience working with Autodesk ACC / BIM 360 and managing project CDE environments.
• Familiarity with Navisworks for clash detection and multi-discipline model coordination.
• Knowledge of IFC workflows, open BIM standards, and data interoperability.
• Understanding of BIM standards including ISO 19650, LOD / LOI frameworks, and information management principles.
• Exposure to large-scale residential, mixed-use, hospitality, or high-rise projects.
• Background in Design Technology, Digital Engineering, BIM R&D, or BIM standardisation roles.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Autodesk Certified Professional (Revit MEP) or equivalent BIM certification is an advantage.
