Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equal professional qualification.
• 7+ years of professional experience including 3+ years in BIM leadership.

• Expert-level knowledge of Revit and its Autodesk ecosystem.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic BIM Manager to lead our multidisciplinary BIM team and drive the successful delivery of BIM and digital construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, proven leadership capabilities, and extensive experience in BIM implementation, project execution, resource planning, quality management, and client coordination.

The role requires a strategic thinker who can optimise workflows, manage project deliverables, support business development and bidding activities, and ensure compliance with global BIM standards, including ISO 19650.

Role & responsibilities

1. BIM Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and manage the overall BIM team across multiple disciplines, ensuring effective collaboration and productivity.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members and project teams during complex coordination challenges and escalations.
• Guide team leads in understanding project scope, deliverables, timelines, and execution strategies.
• Plan resource deployment, monitor utilisation, and maintain project billing and progress data.
• Conduct training sessions to enhance team capabilities in line with evolving project requirements and industry advancements.
• Participate in recruitment interviews to evaluate candidates' technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and cultural fit.

2. Project Planning & Execution

• Lead BIM estimation and resource planning for prospective projects and bidding activities.
• Coordinate with client-facing teams to understand project requirements, scope of work, expectations, and deliverable schedules.
• Monitor project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables through to successful completion.
• Work closely with team leads to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, within agreed timelines, and in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Identify project risks, resolve execution challenges, and implement corrective actions where necessary.

3. BIM Technical Management & Coordination

• Oversee BIM implementation throughout the design, construction, and handover phases of projects.
• Conduct model audits, identify quality issues, and develop model optimisation strategies to improve project performance.
• Establish efficient workflows for BIM modelling, multidisciplinary coordination, drawing production, and construction documentation.
• Collaborate with BIM Managers, BIM Coordinators, architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure BIM models and deliverables comply with project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), standards, workflows, and quality checklists.
• Promote the adoption of innovative BIM tools, automation, and emerging digital construction technologies.

4. Quality Assurance & Standards Compliance

• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and high quality across all BIM models, drawings, and project documentation.
• Implement quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures for BIM deliverables.
• Maintain awareness of global BIM standards, industry best practices, and ISO 19650 requirements.
• Ensure compliance with document management procedures, project information requirements, and agreed deliverable protocols.
• Drive continuous improvement in BIM processes, productivity, and project delivery standards.

5. Client & Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, vendors, internal teams, and external project stakeholders.
• Work closely with business development and front-end teams to support technical discussions, project proposals, and scope clarification.
• Communicate effectively with architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and construction site personnel.
• Provide technical recommendations and practical solutions to improve coordination, efficiency, and project outcomes.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 7+ years of professional experience, including at least 3+ years in a BIM Manager or equivalent leadership role.
• Strong practical experience in BIM and digital construction implementation across design, construction, and handover stages.
• Expert-level knowledge of Autodesk Revit Architecture and its integration with the Autodesk ecosystem.
• Working knowledge of BIM coordination, model auditing, quality control, construction documentation, and multidisciplinary workflows.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650, BIM Execution Plans, information management, and global BIM standards.
• Experience in project estimation, resource allocation, progress tracking, and delivery planning.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance, document control, and project management processes.
