Job summary

Latinem is seeking a Structural BIM Modeling Engineer to develop detailed 3D structural models using Revit for projects in the GCC region. You will model concrete, steel, and composite elements and prepare reinforcement detailing to support construction documentation.

You will collaborate with structural engineers, architects, MEP and interior teams, maintain clash-free models, and ensure compliance with GCC/UAE standards and BIM protocols across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering.
• Minimum 3+ years in structural BIM modeling.
• Proficient in 2D reinforcement detailing and sections.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D structural models using Autodesk Revit based on design drawings and specifications.
• Model structural components such as concrete, steel, and composite elements include beams, columns, slabs, foundations, and staircases.
• Prepare reinforcement details for sections, slabs (additional rebars), columns, walls, and core walls.
• Generate construction drawings, schedules, and documentation directly from BIM models.
• Collaborate with structural engineers, architects, MEP, and interior design teams to resolve design conflicts and maintain clash-free models.
• Conduct model reviews and quality checks to ensure alignment with design intent, structural standards, and UAE/GCC regulations.
• Uphold BIM standards, protocols, and libraries throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical assistance to engineers for design validation and detailing within Revit.
• Participate in design review meetings, identifying clashes, design issues, and proposing optimization strategies.
• Support senior engineers in implementing BIM workflows and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Structural BIM Modeling & Detailing

• Develop detailed 3D structural models using Autodesk Revit based on design drawings and specifications.
• Model structural components such as concrete, steel, and composite elements include beams, columns, slabs, foundations, and staircases.
• Prepare reinforcement details for sections, slabs (additional rebars), columns, walls, and core walls.
• Ensure models meet required Levels of Development (LOD) and are suitable for construction documentation.
• Efficiently incorporate design changes and updates into existing models.

Documentation & Coordination

• Generate construction drawings, schedules, and documentation directly from BIM models.
• Collaborate with structural engineers, architects, MEP, and interior design teams to resolve design conflicts and maintain clash-free models.
• Conduct model reviews and quality checks to ensure alignment with design intent, structural standards, and UAE/GCC regulations.
• Uphold BIM standards, protocols, and libraries throughout the project lifecycle.

Technical Support & Collaboration

• Provide technical assistance to engineers for design validation and detailing within Revit.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

• Bachelors degree in civil/Structural Engineering

Experience:

• For bachelor’s degree in civil engineering minimum 3+ above years in structural BIM modeling.
• Strong knowledge of structural detailing and drawings, and proficiency in 2D reinforcement detailing, including sections, additional rebars, column/wall, and core wall rebar detailing.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (structural modeling), Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Strong grasp of structural design principles, detailing, and construction sequencing.
• Familiarity with GCC/UAE design standards is advantageous.
• Experience in modeling high-rise buildings and complex structural systems is a plus.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
