We are seeking a skilled BIM Engineer with Steel Detailing experience to develop, coordinate, and manage structural steel models and detailing deliverables for Residential , Commercial projects.
The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in BIM software, steel detailing standards, and project coordination to ensure accurate and timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain 3D structural steel models using BIM software.
- Prepare fabrication and erection drawings for structural steel components.
- Generate GA drawings, assembly drawings, shop drawings, and material take-offs.
- Coordinate with structural engineers, architects, MEP teams, and fabricators.
- Perform clash detection and resolve coordination issues using BIM tools.
- Ensure models comply with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.
- Review IFC drawings and structural design documentation.
- Assist in BIM execution planning and workflow development.
- Maintain BIM standards, templates, and project documentation.
- Support project teams during design, fabrication, and construction phases.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Tekla Structures (mandatory).
- Experience with AutoCAD and Navisworks.
- Knowledge of Revit Structure is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of steel detailing practices and fabrication processes.
- Familiarity with AISC, BS, Eurocode, or relevant international steel standards.
- Ability to produce accurate shop drawings and material reports.
- Knowledge of BIM coordination and clash detection workflows.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in BIM modeling and steel detailing.
- Experience working on industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to international projects (UAE, UK, USA, or Middle East).
- Experience in BIM Level 2 standards.
- Knowledge of connection detailing and fabrication workflows.
- Familiarity with project collaboration platforms such as ACC, BIM 360, or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
