Job summary

Arup in Bengaluru, India is seeking a skilled BIM Modeller to support major infrastructure projects. You will develop Civil 3D models, perform asset tagging and clash detection, and coordinate with civil, structural and MEP teams throughout the project lifecycle.

The successful candidate will have 3–6 years of BIM/CAD experience, strong Civil 3D/AutoCAD skills, and familiarity with BIM standards and ISO 19650.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled BIM Modeller with experience in Autodesk Civil 3D and Autodesk Navisworks to support the delivery of major infrastructure and transportation projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality BIM models, performing asset tagging and information management activities, undertaking clash detection reviews, and supporting multidisciplinary coordination throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires a strong understanding of BIM standards, digital engineering workflows, and asset information requirements, with a focus on producing accurate, data-rich models suitable for design coordination, construction, and asset handover.

Responsibilities

This role involves developing and managing Civil 3D models for highways, drainage, utilities, earthworks, and transport projects, including creating alignments, corridors, surfaces, pipe networks, and construction drawings. The individual produces both 2D and 3D BIM deliverables and supports model updates throughout the project lifecycle. They participate in multidisciplinary BIM coordination, prepare IFC and Navisworks models, and ensure compliance with BIM standards and digital delivery processes. Responsibilities also include asset tagging, metadata management, and validating asset information against project requirements. Additionally, the role performs model audits and quality checks, ensuring compliance with ISO 19650, BIM execution plans, and project quality standards while supporting coordination and assurance reviews.

We Are Looking For Individuals Who

• 3-6 years of experience in BIM/CAD modelling for infrastructure projects, with strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD
• Hands‑on experience working with survey data and producing both 3D BIM models and 2D technical drawings
• Good understanding of Civil 3D elements such as alignments, profiles, corridors, surfaces, pipe networks, and assemblies
• Experience with Property Sets, asset information management, and civil infrastructure modelling including highways, drainage, and utilities
• Familiarity with ISO 19650, BIM standards, Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows, and digital delivery processes
• Experience in model reviews, clash detection, quality assurance, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Exposure to rail, transport, construction, or multidisciplinary infrastructure projects, delivering work to project milestones.
• Relevant qualification (HNC, HND, Degree, Apprenticeship, or equivalent experience) with a commitment to continuous professional development.
• Detail‑oriented, collaborative, and professional, with a strong focus on quality, safety, accuracy, and problem‑solving.
