Job summary

The BIM Coordinator role at Mepography is based on-site in Coimbatore. You will set up and maintain BIM models, enforce project standards, and ensure accuracy for MEP, architectural, and structural deliverables.

You will facilitate clash detection, coordinate with engineers and designers, contribute to shop drawings, report progress, and drive continuous BIM process improvements across international and large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
• Experience with BIM coordination in AEC projects.
• Familiar with Revit, Navisworks, and BIM standards.
• Ability to interpret drawings and construction documentation.
• Strong collaboration and communication with multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of LOD development and 4D/5D BIM is a plus.

Role Description

The BIM Coordinator is a full-time on-site role based in Coimbatore, responsible for managing and coordinating BIM workflows across multidisciplinary project teams. This role includes setting up and maintaining BIM models, enforcing project standards, and ensuring model accuracy and consistency for MEP, architectural, structural, and construction deliverables. The BIM Coordinator will facilitate clash detection and issue resolution, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and support the production of shop drawings and other project documentation. Daily activities also involve working closely with engineers and designers to optimize model efficiency, preparing progress reports, and contributing to continuous improvement of BIM processes and tools.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong BIM coordination skills, including experience with Revit, Navisworks, and other industry-standard BIM tools.


• Candidates should possess capabilities in model management and quality control, including clash detection, model auditing, and adherence to BIM standards and protocols.


• Candidates should possess practical knowledge of MEP, architectural, and structural systems, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.


• Candidates should possess skills in project collaboration and communication, including coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, managing stakeholder inputs, and documenting issues and resolutions.


• Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to identify and mitigate design and coordination risks.


• Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering / architecture fields, or proven experience in BIM coordination within the AEC industry.


• Experience with LOD development, 4D/5D BIM, and large-scale or international projects will be considered an added advantage.
