Job summary

Virtual Building Studio Inc. is seeking a Senior BIM Architect with 6+ years of architectural BIM experience. You will lead BIM teams, develop detailed BIM models in Revit, and coordinate with international stakeholders on US-based and international projects.

You will mentor junior staff, establish BIM workflows, and ensure quality deliverables within deadlines, leveraging offshore outsourcing collaboration where needed.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior BIM Architect with 6+ years of relevant experience in architectural BIM, strong expertise in Revit Architecture, and proven experience working with outsourcing companies and US-based projects.

The ideal candidate should have exposure to international projects, strong architectural documentation skills, and demonstrated team leadership experience. The candidate will be responsible for leading BIM teams, managing project deliverables, coordinating with international stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality project output.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage BIM/architectural teams for multiple projects.
• Develop and manage detailed architectural BIM models using Autodesk Revit Architecture.
• Review and oversee architectural drawings, construction documentation, and BIM deliverables.
• Work on US-based and international architectural projects.
• Coordinate with international clients, architects, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Understand project requirements, drawings, specifications, and BIM standards.
• Coordinate architectural models with structural and MEP disciplines.
• Conduct model and drawing reviews to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
• Identify and resolve design, modeling, and coordination issues.
• Plan team workloads, allocate tasks, and monitor project progress.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level BIM professionals.
• Establish and maintain BIM workflows, standards, and quality-control procedures.
• Ensure project deliverables are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Participate in client/project coordination meetings and effectively communicate project requirements to the team.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• B.Arch / Bachelor of Architecture degree.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in architectural BIM.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Autodesk Revit Architecture.
• Experience working with architectural outsourcing/offshore companies.
• Proven experience working on US-based projects.
• Exposure to international projects and international clients.
• Previous team leadership/people management experience.
• Strong understanding of architectural design, construction documentation, and BIM workflows.
• Good knowledge of multidisciplinary BIM coordination.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of US architectural standards and construction documentation.
• Experience in BIM model QA/QC and coordination.
• Proficiency in Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud is an advantage.
• Experience managing BIM teams and coordinating project deliverables independently.
