Job summary

Exim Transtrade India seeks an Executive Export Billing & Credit Control to handle invoicing, credit control, and reporting for export operations from Mumbai. The role requires vigilant cash collection, accurate billing, and coordination with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams.

The candidate will manage customer statements, ageing reports, and MIS, ensuring compliance with SOPs and policies. Experience with Logi-Sys and freight/logistics billing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor accounts against credit limits and highlight exceptions.
• Assist audits and ensure SOPs and policies compliance.
• Maintain data in Logi-Sys for billing activities.

Position: Executive Export Billing & Credit Control

Key Responsibilities

• Handle export customer invoicing and billing, including Freight, Customs, and other LOB invoices, ensuring timely and accurate generation.
• Manage credit control processes, including customer credit limits, payment tracking, and outstanding receivables.
• Monitor debtor ageing and proactively follow up with customers for timely collection of outstanding payments.
• Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure billing accuracy and resolve billing-related discrepancies.
• Liaise with customers and overseas agents regarding billing queries, discrepancies, settlements, and payment follow-ups.
• Prepare customer statements of accounts, ageing reports, credit reports, and MIS reports as required.
• Maintain accurate records of customer invoices, vendor invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
• Monitor customer accounts against approved credit limits and payment terms, highlighting exceptions to the concerned management.
• Support reconciliation of customer accounts and assist in resolving payment and accounting discrepancies.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company SOPs, credit policies, and financial procedures.
• Provide necessary support during internal and external audits.
• Maintain timely and accurate data in Logi-Sys and ensure proper utilization of the system for billing and related activities.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Good understanding of Export Billing and Credit Control processes.
• Knowledge of freight forwarding / logistics billing will be an advantage.
• Working knowledge of Logi-Sys is preferred.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and MIS reporting.
• Strong follow-up and communication skills for customer collections.
• Good attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and timelines.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with Sales, Operations, Finance, customers, and overseas agents.
• Ability to identify billing discrepancies and follow through to resolution.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidates with 3+ experience in Billing & Credit Control International Logistics, Shipping, Freight Forwarding, and NVOCC backgrounds shall only be preferred for this role.
