Job summary

The position is full-time with rotational shift in a bank environment. You will handle patch testing, server support, and documentation of procedures while collaborating

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in patch management.

We are looking for an enthusiastic BigFix Administrator who can individually manage the System Administration activities.

Job Title : BigFix Administrator

Job Type : Full Time

Shift : Rotational Shift (Bank Environment)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Patch management tasks include maintaining current knowledge of available patches, deciding what patches are appropriate for particular systems, ensuring that patches are installed properly, testing systems after installation, and documenting all associated procedures.
• Able to support multiple networks.
• Ensure necessary administration tasks are completed, direct others as necessary.
• Should be proficient in Networking & Client Server architecture.
• Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed.
• Should be proficient in Windows & Linux OS support.
• Should have good troubleshooting skills for Windows OS issues.
• Should be proficient in Linux OS support.
• Should have good troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Linux YUM patching and Linux OS administration is preferred.
• Experience on scripting (Bash, KSH) preferred.
• Experience with SCCM and Windows OS administration is preferred (good to have)
• Test new releases of patches to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
• Experience on any scripting for Windows (PowerShell, VBScript, batch scripting) preferred.
• Experience working as BigFix operator.
• Knowledge of BigFix console and basic administration.
• Hands on Experience with BigFix patching support in Windows
• Experience on different BigFix modules like Inventory, BigFix Compliance a big plus.

Technical Experience:

• Should have 2+years experience in strong proficiency in Patch Management.
• Preferred to have a good understanding of BigFix relay servers
• Good to have a well understanding of Servers downtime, scheduled Jobs in BigFix
• Experience with replication configuration with Active Directory and BigFix
• Nice to have exposure in creating Power-Shell based scripts and executing through actionable scripts in BigFix
• Fixlet creation in BigFix, Multi package execution using BigFix
• Experience in developing Relevance queries & Action script in BigFix preferred
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for resolving BigFix client issues

• Ability to operate independently and make decisions with little direct supervision
