Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. in Telangana seeks an automation maintenance engineer to oversee preventive and predictive maintenance on battery shop equipment and automation lines.

You will work with Siemens PLC, SCADA, and KUKA robotics while ensuring uptime and safety across manufacturing processes. The role requires hands-on experience with electrical layouts, teaching I/O configurations, and systematic Kaizen activities to optimize MTTR and MTBF.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical or Mechatronics is required.
• B.Tech: 3-6 years; Diploma: 7-10 years of experience in automation & maintenance.
• Experience with Siemens automation hardware and field devices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor preventive and predictive maintenance per schedule to ensure reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues independently with strong hands-on skills.
• Improve MTTR and MTBF through proactive Kaizens and systematic care.
• Execute and improve PM, TBM and CBM activities on automated lines.
• Maintain safety via interlocks and Poka-Yoke implementations.
• Maintain backups for PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and PC-based machines.
• Coordinate battery shop equipment hardware/software configuration and programming.

Job description

Monitor preventive and predictive maintenance as per schedule to achieve customer satisfaction.

Hands‑on knowledge of Battery Shop equipment: Robots (KUKA), Slat Conveyors, Testing Machines, Nitrogen Generators, AHUs, Sealant Dispensing, Servo Motors, Pneumatics and Hydraulics.

Knowledge and experience of electrical layouts, component cabinets and wiring plans of the above equipment.

Knowledge and experience of Battery Shop equipment hardware, software, parameter loading and programming.

Knowledge of Siemens PLC, HMI, Vision Systems, VFD programming and Servo Motors.

Hands‑on experience in wireless communication systems.

Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve equipment issues independently.

Hands‑on experience with Siemens PLC and SCADA.

Monitor and maintain insurance and consumable spare parts stock.

Hands‑on experience in Teaching and I/O Module Configuration.

Maintain systematic backups of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and PC‑based machines.

Improve MTTR and MTBF through proactive Kaizens.

Reduce spare cost and consumption through a systematic approach and timely availability.

Execute and improve the effectiveness of PM, TBM and CBM activities on equipment.

Maintain equipment safety by monitoring safety interlocks and implementing Poka‑Yoke.
