Job summary

MAN TRUCK & BUS INDIA PVT. LTD seeks a skilled engineer to lead electrical design for lithium-ion battery packs in EV programs. You will craft specifications for electrical components, design high/low voltage pathways, and align parts with suppliers.

Proficiency in CATIA V5, GD&T, and EMI/EMC considerations is essential. With 5–8 years of relevant experience, you will work across cross-functional teams to ensure robust battery pack assemblies, test planning, and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• M. Tech / B Tech in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Automobile Engineering.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in the field.
• Knowledge of electrical components for battery packs and eMobility.
• Capable of designing HV bus bars and LV harnesses.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical focal point for lithium-ion battery packs in the pack electric area.
• Specify electrical components of the battery pack, such as contactors and fuses.
• Design HV busbars and LV cable harnesses, brackets and layouts.
• Develop parts with suppliers and perform test planning and analysis.
• Conduct basic FEM simulations and eigen frequency / static analyses.
• Create 2D drawings and 3D layouts, including wiring and mounting views.
• Perform DFMEA, DVPR and risk mitigations; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical guidance to other team members.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical focal point for lithium-ion battery packs in pack electric area
• Specification creation of electrical components of the battery pack like contactors, fuses etc.
• Designing of high voltage busbars and low voltage cable harness, support brackets.
• Development of parts together with the supplier
• Test planning and analysis of the test results.
• Perform basic FEM simulations like eigen frequency calculations and static load case analysis
• Creation of 2D drawings
• Design of layout which includes designing electric circuit, bundle drawings, 3D models, mounting and assembly drawings
• Perform DFMEA, DVPR and risk mitigation activities
• Collaborate with cross functional team and supplier
• Provide technical guidance to other team members

Additional Skills

• Experience in development of Electrical components.
• Design knowledge of HV Bus bars, LV Harnesses.
• Experience with Plastic bracket/holder design for mounting the electrical components.
• Advance knowhow in CATIA V5 software must have.
• Good analytical skills are needed
• Strong communication and presentation skill set is necessary
