Job summary

Gaia Smart Cities in India seeks an experienced Java Backend Developer to design and implement scalable enterprise applications using Spring Boot and microservices. You will work with architects, frontend engineers, and DevOps to deliver robust business solutions.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of backend development in Java, strong SQL and NoSQL skills (Postgres/MySQL/MongoDB/Redis), REST API design, concurrency, and JVM performance tuning. Immediate joiner.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend development experience with Java (8+ or 11+)
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis)
• Experience in REST API design, error handling, and versioning
• Strong understanding of concurrency, multithreading, and JVM performance tuning
• Familiarity with unit and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito)
• Hands-on experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, CI/CD
