GoCharting is seeking a backend/data engineer to own broker/exchange integrations, real-time market-data pipelines, and data quality. You will work closely with the CTO within Core Platform Engineering in Chennai, handling raw market data, normalization, and scalable data delivery.
Required is 5–8 years of backend experience, strong Go skills, and hands-on experience with financial data, ETL, and APIs. This role is office-based in Chennai with a focus on reliability and scale.
GoCharting is a web-native charting and trading workflow platform with institutional-grade orderflow and DOM tools — footprint/cluster charts, volume/market profile, cumulative delta, imbalance charts, DOM trading. We are the only platform that delivers these capabilities fully on the web. Comparable to TradingView for general charting, but differentiated as the leader in the professional orderflow niche. PE-acquired and funded in 2025, profitable, 3M+ registered traders globally, with a mandate to scale 10x over 4 years.
GoCharting's moat is its real-time market data and the breadth of brokers and exchanges we connect. That surface is also our single biggest infrastructure concern and the top driver of customer complaints — data accuracy and feed reliability. You will work directly alongside the CTO to widen and harden it: connect more brokers and exchanges, keep the feeds clean and reliable, and build the data pipelines and APIs that everything on the platform is built on.
This is a hands-on backend and data-engineering role. You will live in broker APIs and exchange feeds, database and pipeline work, and the unglamorous discipline of cleaning and normalizing financial data so that the chart a trader sees is correct. We need someone who has worked with financial/market data before — who understands its structure, its types, and exactly where it goes wrong — and who can take ownership and run with it from day one. You report to the CTO inside Core Platform Engineering. In year one, success looks like more brokers and exchanges connected, measurably more reliable and accurate feeds, and data pipelines that scale with the business.
