Job summary

SID Global Solutions is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design and scale high-throughput financial technology systems for a major banking client. You will build event-driven architectures, develop secure backend services with Node.js and TypeScript, and integrate AI capabilities into core banking workflows.

You will optimize data flows, manage Kafka topics and schema registries, and ensure robust security and observability across the stack, delivering resilient real-time pipelines and API

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend development experience with Node.js (Express, NestJS, or Fastify).
• Strong experience with event-driven systems using Apache Kafka.
• Experience integrating AI APIs, vector databases, or LangChain.
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
• Docker, Kubernetes and secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Testing expertise with unit, integration, and end-to-end tests (Jest or Mocha).

Responsibilities

• Design high-throughput, fault-tolerant real-time streaming applications using Apache Kafka.
• Build backend microservices with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Integrate AI capabilities into backend workflows with LLMs and AI tools.
• Manage Kafka topics, partitions, consumer groups, and schema registries for transactions.
• Implement banking-grade security, encryption, and secure API authorization layers.
• Set up observability and tracing with Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.

• EnsureHigh Security: Implement strict banking-grade compliance, dataencryption, and secure API authorization layers.

Required Technical Skills

• Node.js:5+ years of deep backend development experience using Express, NestJS, orFastify.
• ApacheKafka: Strong experience handling event-driven systems, streamprocessing, and message retention strategies.
• AI/MLIntegration: Proven track record of interacting with AI APIs, vectordatabases, or orchestrators like LangChain.
• Databases:Expert knowledge of relational systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQLsolutions (MongoDB, Redis).
• Cloud& DevOps: Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and securecloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Testing:Proficiency in writing robust unit, integration, and end-to-end testsusing Jest or Mocha.

Preferred Qualifications

• BFSIExperience: Background building secure software within the banking,financial services, or insurance sectors.
• DataPrivacy: Familiarity with financial regulations, PCI-DSS compliance,and secure data masking techniques.
