Job summary

Goodfit in Jaipur seeks an experienced Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Kafka.

You will build RESTful APIs, implement event-driven patterns with Kafka, and collaborate with DevOps to deploy on AWS, optimize databases, and ensure security and performance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications.

Responsibilities

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer with 4+ years of hands‑on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS Cloud, and Apache Kafka, along with a good understanding of database management, API development, and DevOps practices. Exposure to AI/Generative AI technologies will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Backend Development

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build RESTful APIs and microservices-based applications.

• Perform code reviews, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

2. API Development and Integration

• Design, develop, and integrate REST APIs.

Required Skills

• Programming: Java 8/11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA.
• Architecture: Microservices, REST APIs, design patterns, secure coding practices.
• Messaging: Apache Kafka, event‑driven architecture, asynchronous processing.
• Cloud: AWS EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch; familiarity with Lambda.
• DevOps: Docker, CI/CD concepts, Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab CI, Git.
• Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle; query optimization.
• Testing: JUnit, Mockito, unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization.

Good to Have
