Job summary

Aumni, established in 2016, is a Software Services Company that partners with Product companies to build and manage their dedicated teams in India. So, while you are working for a services company, you are working within a product team and growing with them.

These are long-term (open‑ended) contracts with clients, and we do not move people across client teams. The role emphasizes quality work, AWS experience, and backend excellence using C#/.NET, REST APIs, and SQL in a hybrid work culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience with C#, .NET, and Web API.
• Strong OOP concepts understanding.
• Strong SQL fundamentals and query optimization.
• DSA knowledge (arrays, strings, searching, sorting).
• Ability to solve coding problems and explain approaches.
• Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch).
• Experience building, deploying, and supporting apps in AWS.
• Exposure to Microservices and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer – .NET with strong hands‑on experience in backend development and problem‑solving. The ideal candidate should have practical expertise in building APIs, working with databases, and writing clean, efficient code.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using C# and .NET


• Build and consume RESTful Web APIs following OOP best practices


• Write optimized SQL queries and ensure database performance


• Apply strong logical reasoning to analyze and solve technical problems


• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑structured code


• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality solutions

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with C#, .NET, and Web API.


• Strong understanding of Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.


• Strong SQL fundamentals, including joins, subqueries, indexing, and query optimization.


• Good understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) (arrays, strings, searching, sorting, etc.).


• Ability to independently solve basic to medium‑complexity coding problems.


• Strong problem‑solving and logical reasoning skills.


• Ability to clearly explain thought processes and technical approaches.


• Hands‑on experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, or similar services used in application development and deployment.


• Experience building, deploying, and supporting applications in an AWS environment.

Preferred/ Good to have

• Exposure to Microservices architecture.


• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
