Job summary

Brose Fahrzeugteile GmbH & Co. KG in Pune, India, seeks a Python backend developer for permanent, on-site work. You will design software concepts, implement backends with database links and HTTP interfaces, and lead code reviews in an international environment with Indian and German colleagues.

Strong Python, Django, pytest, and tooling skills are essential. You will contribute to test definition, UML documentation, and automation to improve development processes, while maintaining and evolving

Qualifications

• Advanced coding skills in Python and proven track record.
• Strong ability to design and structure code bases.
• Excellent knowledge of pytest and Django.
• Solid experience with Python tooling (pipenv, black, flake8, isort).
• Good understanding of web-based transmission formats (XML, JSON, YAML).
• Experience in UML creation and software documentation.
• Proficient with relational databases (SQL).
• Proven track record with VS/VS Code and Git/GitLab in DevOps.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Your Tasks

• Technical preparation (e.g. UML) and documentation of software concepts
• Leading code reviews
• Defining and reviewing test cases
• Programming of backends with interlink to databases and other services via HTTP-protocol
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of an existing software product.
• Working in an international environment with intensive communication to Indian and German colleagues
• Contribution to the continuous improvement and automation of internal development processes
