Job summary

Ncs Group is seeking an Azure Cloud Operations Lead to manage Azure infrastructure focusing on operations, security, and availability rather than architecture.

You will lead Windows/Linux infrastructure, drive monitoring, automation, and incident response across production and DR environments, mentoring L2/L3 engineers and ensuring SLA compliance.

The role emphasizes ITIL processes, security best practices, and proactive optimization of cloud and on‑prem environments.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in infrastructure operations and managed services.
• Strong expertise in Azure, Windows and Linux administration.

Windows Infrastructure Operations

This role has a strong focus on managing and supporting enterprise Windows and Linux infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the stability, security, availability, and performance of servers across production, UAT, and DR environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server and Linux server environments.
• Manage Active Directory, Organizational Units (OU), Users, Groups, Group Policies (GPO), DNS, and DHCP services.
• Perform server provisioning, decommissioning, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Execute OS patching, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening.
• Monitor server health, CPU, memory, storage, and application performance.
• Troubleshoot operating system, network, storage, and application-related issues.
• Perform backup validation and restoration activities.
• Maintain VMware and Hyper-V virtual infrastructure.
• Create automation scripts using PowerShell and Bash to reduce manual operational effort.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
• Support disaster recovery activities and business continuity planning.
