Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a skilled Linux administrator to support production environments, manage high-availability clusters, and handle storage and patching tasks. The role involves coordinating with SAP and cloud teams, documenting RCA and SOPs, and contributing to on-call and change activities.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Red Hat and SUSE Linux, clustering (Pacemaker/Corosync), LVM, NFS, and shell scripting, with ITIL practices and Azure cloud familiarity.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux administration knowledge.
• Experience on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8 and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12/15.
• Hands-on experience with Linux clustering.
• Knowledge of Pacemaker/Corosync, LVM, NFS, and storage management.
• Shell scripting and systemd services.
• Production issue troubleshooting, ITIL processes, and Azure cloud.

• Linux server installation, configuration, and administration.
• Support production environments on Red Hat Enterprise Linux / SUSE
• Linux Enterprise Server, Ubuntu
• Manage HA clusters using Pacemaker / Corosync.
• Monitor cluster resources, failover, fencing, and node health, cluster creation.
• Perform patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting activities.
• Handle LVM, filesystem, NFS, and storage management.
• Troubleshoot boot, performance, and server availability issues.
• User management, sudo access, and security hardening.
• Support backup, monitoring, and log management activities.
• Coordinate with SAP application, cloud teams.
• Prepare RCA, SOP, and technical documentation.
