Job summary

A leading global financial services firm in Bengaluru is seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer. You will lead the migration of legacy AWS or Azure applications to the Azure tenant, ensuring a seamless transition and compliance with governance standards. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, with proven experience in cloud architecture focusing on Microsoft Azure. Overview

Lead the migration of legacy AWS or Azure applications to the Ayvens Azure tenant, ensuring seamless transition, architectural robustness, and compliance with governance and security standards. Design, review, and challenge the architecture of applications targeted for migration, collaborating closely with engineering teams to gather and analyse their requirements. Act as the technical lead in defining best practices and cloud architecture standards aligned with the Group’s cloud strategy. Implement Azure infrastructure components directly, including network, compute, storage, and security services, to support the migrated applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with governance and security policies. Stay updated on Azure innovations and cloud industry trends and incorporate relevant advancements into architecture and operational processes. Support knowledge transfer and upskilling of internal teams on Azure technologies and migration best practices.

Contacts

• Work closely with Engineering teams to understand application needs and constraints.
• Collaborate with Ayvens Azure Design Authority to ensure we follow trust and control principles and strategy.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Security teams within Ayvens and subsidiaries.
• Engage with project managers and stakeholders to align migration and operational activities.

Education & experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Lead Cloud Engineer, Cloud Architect, or similar role with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Demonstrated track record managing complex cloud migration projects.
• Experience managing application migrations from unsecured cloud environments to secure, compliant cloud platforms.
• Experience working in agile environments and cross-functional teams.

Languages

Fluent in English written and spoken.
