Job summary

SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA is seeking an experienced Cloud/SRE engineer to own Azure infrastructure, DevOps, and platform security in a regulated financial-services environment. You will design, implement, and support Azure environments, automate with Terraform and Ansible, and drive reliable production operations across on-prem and cloud solutions.

The role requires senior technical ownership, strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash), and solid experience with MSSQL,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Azure infrastructure, DevOps, cloud platform engineering, or SRE roles in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience in building, maintaining, and supporting Azure environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and automation tooling.
• Strong experience with scripting languages including Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
• Experience with configuration management and automation frameworks such as Ansible.
• Experience supporting or working closely with database and OS technologies including MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Linux, and Windows.
• Experience in platform security, audit support, compliance remediation, and cloud governance.
• Experience with incident management, problem management, alert management, and production support in business-critical environments.
• Experience resolving incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs is required.
• Experience working in on-call support models for critical services is required.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes is required.
• Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications are strongly preferred, in particular Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate and/or Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert.
• Experience in financial services or similarly regulated industries is an advantage.

• Strong understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, hardening, vulnerability remediation, and audit readiness.
• Able to investigate and troubleshoot complex production issues and make sound technical decisions.
• Strong operational mindset with the ability to manage alerts, incidents, service requests, and production priorities in line with agreed SLAs.
