Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Platform Operations Specialist with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support enterprise cloud platform operations. The role will be responsible for day-to-day administration of cloud platforms, cloud account lifecycle management, identity and access administration, operational service requests, governance activities, troubleshooting, and coordination with engineering, security, identity, and service management teams. The ideal candidate should have strong experience working in an enterprise IT/cloud operations environment, following ITSM processes, security controls, operational procedures, and defined service levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day operational administration across Microsoft Azure and AWS environments.
- Execute cloud platform service requests in accordance with established procedures and SLAs.
- Provision, modify, and decommission Azure subscriptions/tenants, AWS accounts, and associated cloud resources.
- Manage cloud account lifecycle activities including onboarding, modification, transfer, and decommissioning.
- Administer identity and access management (IAM) across Azure and AWS environments.
- Perform RBAC, role assignments, delegated administration, and permissions management.
- Manage Azure Enterprise Applications, Service Principals, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
- Support AWS IAM Identity Center / AWS SSO administration and access-related activities.
- Support cloud platform licensing, marketplace-related activities, billing permissions, and operational configurations.
- Execute cloud governance and compliance activities in line with organizational security standards and policies.
- Investigate and troubleshoot operational issues across Azure and AWS platforms.
- Escalate complex technical issues to relevant engineering teams or cloud vendors when required.
- Participate in Incident, Request, Problem, and Change Management processes.
- Work with enterprise ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM tools.
- Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, knowledge articles, and support procedures.
- Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Security, Identity, Architecture, and Service Management teams.
- Work effectively within a multi-vendor / managed-service environment.
- Support audit, compliance, reporting, and governance requirements related to cloud operations.
- Identify opportunities to standardize processes, reduce manual activities, and improve operational efficiency through automation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across cloud operations and platform management.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7 9 years of experience in cloud platform administration, infrastructure operations, or enterprise IT support.
- Strong hands-on experience with both:
- Microsoft Azure
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience with cloud account/subscription lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM).
- Experience with:
- Azure RBAC
- Azure Enterprise Applications
- Service Principals
- Azure PIM
- AWS IAM
- AWS IAM Identity Center / SSO
- Experience managing cloud permissions, access requests, and delegated administration.
- Understanding of cloud governance, security controls, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Experience working in an ITSM environment.
- Knowledge of Incident, Request, Problem, and Change Management processes.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or equivalent enterprise ticketing platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple operational requests while adhering to SLAs and quality standards.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional technical teams and external vendors/service providers.

- Experience in an outsourced, managed-services, or multi-supplier environment.
- Exposure to cloud automation and process standardization.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud environments.

Preferred Certifications
- One or more of the following certifications would be an advantage:

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
