Job summary

Birlasoft is seeking a cloud migration engineer to analyze existing .NET architectures and craft migration strategies. You will move applications to AWS, containerize with Docker, and set up CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.

You will design scalable cloud-native solutions, modernize monoliths to microservices, and configure AWS services including ECS, ECR, EC2, S3, and RDS. Strong networking knowledge and IaC experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in .NET / .NET Core / ASP.NET Core application development.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, including ECS, ECR, EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch.
• Experience in containerization with Docker and orchestration using ECS.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and REST APIs.
• Experience in infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, load balancers).

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing .NET application architecture and define cloud migration strategies (re-host, re-platform, refactor).
• Migrate applications to AWS using ECS for containerized deployments.
• Containerize .NET apps with Docker and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native solutions.
• Migrate monoliths to microservices where applicable and modernize applications.
• Configure and manage AWS services such as ECS, ECR, EC2, ALB, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and VPC.
• Optimize performance, availability, and cost post-migration.
• Enforce security best practices (IAM roles, secrets management, network security).
• Collaborate with DevOps, development, and infrastructure teams for seamless migration and deployment.
• Troubleshoot migration issues and provide production support during transition phases.

• Containerize .NET applications using Docker and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.

• Perform application modernization, including breaking monoliths into microservices (where applicable).
• Configure and manage AWS services such as ECS, ECR, EC2, ALB, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and VPC.
• Optimize application performance, availability, and cost post-migration.
• Ensure security best practices (IAM roles, secrets management, network security).
• Collaborate with DevOps, development, and infrastructure teams for seamless migration and deployment.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in .NET / .NET Core / ASP.NET Core application development.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, especially:
• ECS (Fargate/EC2)
• ECR (container registry)
• EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch
• Experience in containerization (Docker) and orchestration using ECS.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and REST APIs.
• Experience in infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, load balancers).
