Job summary

Birlasoft Limited in Bengaluru is seeking an AWS DevOps professional to analyze existing .NET architecture, define cloud migration strategies, and move applications to AWS using ECS and ECR. You will containerize .NET apps with Docker, implement CI/CD pipelines, and design scalable, secure cloud-native solutions.

You will collaborate with DevOps, development, and infra teams to optimize performance, availability, and cost after migration, ensuring robust security practices and RESTful service

Qualifications

• Strong experience with .NET / .NET Core / ASP.NET Core development.
• Hands-on AWS services experience, especially ECS (Fargate/EC2) ECR, EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch.
• Experience in containerization (Docker) and orchestration using ECS.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and REST APIs.
• Experience in infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, load balancers).

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing .NET application architecture and define cloud migration strategies (re-host, re-platform, refactor).
• Migrate applications to AWS, specifically leveraging ECS for containerized deployments.
• Containerize .NET applications using Docker and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native solutions.
• Perform application modernization, including breaking monoliths into microservices (where applicable).
• Configure and manage AWS services such as ECS, ECR, EC2, ALB, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and VPC.
• Optimize application performance, availability, and cost post-migration.
• Ensure security best practices (IAM roles, secrets management, network security).
• Collaborate with DevOps, development, and infrastructure teams for seamless migration and deployment.
• Troubleshoot migration issues and provide production support during transition phases.
