Job summary

Birlasoft in Bengaluru, India, seeks a skilled specialist to lead cloud migration and modernization of .NET applications on AWS. Responsibilities include containerizing with Docker, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and building scalable cloud-native solutions.

The role requires hands-on AWS experience (ECS/ECR/EC2/S3/RDS) and proficiency in microservices, REST APIs, and IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation). Collaborative effort with DevOps and infra teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in .NET Core/ASP.NET Core development.
• Experience migrating and modernizing applications to AWS.
• Containerization with Docker and CI/CD automation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing .NET application architecture and define cloud migration strategies (re-host, re-platform, refactor).
• Migrate applications to AWS using ECS for containerized deployments.
• Containerize .NET apps with Docker and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native solutions.
• Modernize monoliths into microservices where applicable.
• Configure and manage AWS services such as ECS, ECR, EC2, ALB, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and VPC.
• Optimize performance, availability, and cost post-migration.
• Implement security best practices (IAM roles, secrets management, network security).
• Collaborate with DevOps, development, and infrastructure teams for seamless migration and deployment.
• Troubleshoot migration issues and provide production support during transition phases.

• Migrate applications to AWS, specifically leveraging ECS (Elastic Container Service) for containerized deployments.
• Containerize .NET applications using Docker and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native solutions.
• Perform application modernization, including breaking monoliths into microservices (where applicable).
• Configure and manage AWS services such as ECS, ECR, EC2, ALB, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and VPC.
• Optimize application performance, availability, and cost post-migration.
• Ensure security best practices (IAM roles, secrets management, network security).
• Collaborate with DevOps, development, and infrastructure teams for seamless migration and deployment.
• Troubleshoot migration issues and provide production support during transition phases.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in .NET / .NET Core / ASP.NET Core application development.

Hands-on Experience With AWS Services, Especially

• ECS (Fargate/EC2)
• ECR (container registry)
• EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch
• Experience in containerization (Docker) and orchestration using ECS.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and REST APIs.
• Experience in infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, load balancers).
