Job summary

Persistent Systems is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Solution Architect to lead design, implementation, and modernization of enterprise cloud solutions from Pune. The role demands strong cloud architecture, Azure services, Terraform-based IaC, and governance across security and networking.

You will guide engineering teams through migrations, define roadmaps, and establish engineering standards while collaborating across product, security, and delivery teams to ensure scalable and resilient

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Solution Architect to lead the design, implementation, and modernization of enterprise cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in cloud architecture, Azure services, Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud networking, and enterprise transformation initiatives. This role requires a combination of technical leadership, hands-on architecture experience, stakeholder management, and delivery excellence to build scalable, secure, and business-aligned cloud solutions.

What You'll Do:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, highly available, and resilient cloud solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Lead technical discovery workshops and architecture assessments for cloud transformation initiatives.
• Define target-state architectures, cloud adoption roadmaps, integration patterns, and engineering standards.
• Evaluate technology options and recommend cloud-native and hybrid-cloud solutions.
• Design and implement infrastructure automation solutions using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Guide engineering teams through cloud migrations, modernization initiatives, deployments, testing, and production readiness activities.
• Collaborate with product, security, infrastructure, data, and delivery teams to address dependencies, risks, and technical challenges.
• Define cloud networking strategies, connectivity models, and security architectures.
• Drive governance, compliance, reliability, observability, performance optimization, and cost management initiatives.
• Support CI/CD implementation and cloud automation best practices.
• Conduct architecture reviews, proof-of-concepts, and solution validation exercises.
• Establish cloud security controls and ensure alignment with enterprise security standards.
• Mentor development and cloud engineering teams to promote best practices, reusable patterns, and engineering excellence.
• Communicate complex technical solutions effectively to both technical and business stakeholders.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 12-15 years of overall IT experience with significant experience in cloud architecture and enterprise solution design.
• Strong expertise in Cloud Solution Architecture, Azure, Terraform, and Cloud Networking.
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade cloud platforms with built-in security, scalability, availability, and maintainability.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, connectivity, security, and hybrid architecture patterns.
• Experience with cloud migration, modernization, and transformation programs.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures and implementation roadmaps.
• Strong understanding of cloud governance, compliance, security, and operational best practices.
• Experience leading architecture reviews, technical assessments, proof-of-concepts, and design governance activities.
• Expertise in stakeholder management, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, documentation, mentoring, and presentation skills.
• Experience driving continuous improvement and engineering quality initiatives.
