Job summary

EXL Analytics seeks a senior analytics leader to drive end-to-end engagements from data extraction to executive storytelling. You will structure complex business problems into analytical frameworks, generate actionable insights, and present compelling narratives to senior stakeholders across global clients.

You will manage onshore-offshore delivery, oversee dashboards and reports, and ensure rigorous quality and governance throughout the engagement lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's in computer science, engineering, operations research or related analytics areas.
• 11+ years relevant analytics/insight experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagements with full delivery accountability and high quality outputs.
• Structure ambiguous problems into analytical frameworks and hypotheses.
• Drive advanced analytics and synthesize outputs into executive-ready stories.
• Advise senior clients and influence strategic decisions.

• Identify expansion opportunities within existing engagements.

Role Overview:

• End-to-End Engagement Leadership - Lead insight generation engagements with full accountability for delivery, ensuring high-quality, business-relevant outputs aligned to client objectives.


• Problem Structuring & Analytical Design - Structure ambiguous business problems into clear analytical frameworks; translate client needs into testable hypotheses and define robust analysis plans based on data availability and timelines.


• Insight Generation & Storyboarding - Drive advanced analytics and synthesize outputs into compelling, actionable insights; build executive-ready storyboards and narratives to enable decision-making.


• Client Advisory & Strategic Collaboration - Engage with senior client stakeholders to contextualize insights, influence strategic decisions, and ensure recommendations are actionable and value-driven.


• Client Engagement & Governance - Facilitate working sessions, lead recurring status meetings, and manage stakeholder communication to ensure transparency, alignment, and delivery confidence.


• Relationship Management & AccountGrowth - Build trusted advisor relationships with clients; proactively identify expansion opportunities and contribute to account growth within existing engagements.


• Cross-Geo Delivery Leadership - Lead distributed teams across onshore-offshore model, ensuring seamless collaboration, effective communication, and timezone-aligned execution.


• Project & Team Management - Oversee day-to-day delivery operations, manage team performance, and act as the functional/domain SME to ensure deliverables meet client expectations.


• Quality Assurance & Governance - Provide rigorous quality oversight on all analytical outputs, reports, and presentations before client delivery.


• Customer & Market Insight Analysis - Analyze customer behavior, pain points, segmentation, growth levers, and value propositions to identify opportunities for business impact.


• Data Analysis & Technical Execution - Perform advanced data extraction and analysis using SQL/Snowflake/SAS; ensure data integrity and robustness in analytical outputs.


• Visualization & Reporting - Design and deliver intuitive dashboards and reports using Power BI (or similar tools), ensuring effective communication of insights to business users.


• Independent Insight Delivery - Independently own the creation of end-to-end analytical deliverablesfrom data analysis to final storytelling and executive presentation.


• Uncertainty & Risk Navigation - Effectively manage ambiguity and evolving client priorities, adapting analytical approaches to deliver consistent value.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelors/Master's degree in computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply11+ years relevant experience preferably in analytics or insight generation initiativesExpertise is SQL and SAS/Snowflake or other relevant client technologiesExperience in building reports in PowerBI, PowerPoint is preferredOutstanding written and verbal communication skillsAble to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challengesIs able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe
