Job summary

EXL Analytics in Gurugram, India seeks a data analytics professional to create, modify and optimize SQL queries, ETL processes and data models. You will rollout SQL-based applications, enhance reporting, and improve data movement using SSIS/SSAS within a dynamic, global client environment.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of analytics experience, strong SQL/ETL skills, and familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub, and MS Access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas.
• 4+ years in analytics (Preferably Insurance Analytics).
• Must have advance SQL, SSIS, SSAS knowledge.
• Should be familiar with Github, Azure DevOps
• Good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Good to have experience with MS Access, SSRS, ADF or other Azure services.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and take on challenges.
• Ability to work with clients across the globe.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify and test various SQL queries, stored procedures and views for obtaining data from diverse source systems and platforms
• Assist in roll‑out of new SQL‑based applications, problem fixes, and enhancements of software
• Follow database best practices to improve the operational reporting environment
• Implement/develop ETL using SSIS and other data movement requirements using SQL
• Develops original and/or complex code in T‑SQL/ SQL/SSIS
• Design and develop new SQL code as part of an ETL process
• Experience using SSAS in creating multidimensional or tabular models
• Develop stored procedures/functions using T-SQL/SQL
• Improve SQL procedures, Window services / .NET programs which transform and load data
• Responsible for data profiling, mappings, ETL development, SQL tuning and optimization
• Leverage MS Access to support select queries and DB access

Role & Responsibilities Overview:

• Create, modify and test various SQL queries, stored procedures and views for obtaining data from diverse source systems and platforms
• Assist in the roll‑out of new SQL based applications, problem fixes, and enhancements of softwareFollow database best practices to improve the operational reporting environment while focusing on resolving problems raised by team members, stakeholders and end users
• Implement/develop ETL using SSIS and other data movement requirements using SQL
• Develops original and/or complex code in T‑SQL/ SQL/SSIS
• Design and develop new SQL code as part of an ETL process
• Experience using SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) in creating and managing multidimensional or tabular models for data analysis.
• Develop stored procedures functions using T‑SQL/SQL
• Improve SQL procedures, Window services / .NET programs which transform and load data
• Responsible for data profiling, source-target mappings, ETL development, SQL tunings and optimization, testing and implementation
• Leverage MS Access database to support select use cases and SQL queries within to query the DB
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally communicate with others, including situations where you may disagree with people

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas
• candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply4+ years in analytics (Preferably Insurance Analytics)
