EXL Decision Analytics in Gurugram, India, seeks an experienced actuarial professional to join its US-focused insurance analytics team. You will conduct independent research, analyze data, and present findings, collaborating with clients and EXL colleagues on general insurance actuarial projects.

The role requires strong data manipulation skills (Excel, R, Python, SAS), knowledge of P&C actuarial concepts, pricing, reserving and valuation, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, actuarial sciences.
• Affiliation to IAI or IFOA, with at least 3 CT actuarial exams.
• Experience in general insurance pricing, reserving and valuation.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete understanding of the current state of affairs and problem statement.
• Interacting with clients on regular basis, understanding their requirements and transforming that into business framework and providing actuarial solutions.
• Experience in data extraction and data manipulation in Excel, R, Python, SAS.
• Experience in data control and data automation.

Role Overview:

;Doing independent research, analyze, and present data as assigned ;Expected to work in close collaboration with the EXL team and clients on general insurance actuarial projects for US markets ;Critically examine and deep dive into models ;Prepare detailed documentation for rate revision, rate review, pricing models, valuation reports and preparing presentations ;Assist in learning and development of new team members ;Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives ;Ensure compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines

Key Responsibilities:
