Job summary

Aptiv in Bengaluru requires a Vehicle System Test Engineer to lead testing for Infotainment projects, including development of test benches and automation to ensure product quality for automotive electronics. You will work with CAN/CANFD, LIN, UDS, Ethernet, and DoIP protocols, while coordinating across global teams.

The role emphasizes test design, requirement analysis, and reporting in an Agile environment, with a focus on safety standards and cyber-security considerations in automotive

Qualifications

• System level functional testing of BCM, Gateway and related automotive modules.
• CAN/CANFD, LIN, UDS, Automotive Ethernet, DoIP used in tests.
• Experience with automated test environments and test benches.
• Knowledge of ASPICE processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT&V team for Infotainment project test development and execution.
• Design, implement, and maintain test benches for automotive products.
• Improve test design and raise automation level.
• Conduct requirement analysis and test case generation on hardware-in-the-loop setups.
• Prepare test reports and assist in defect tracking.

Vehicle System Test Engineer

Your Role

To lead the IT&V team for an important Infotainment project Test Development and execution in Automotive Electronics Products such as ICP, Driver Monitoring System (DMS) and Infotainment Design, implement and maintenance of test benches for testing Automotive products Constantly improve the test design and increase the test automation level Understanding of Product Specifications and perform requirement Analysis Test design, test case generation and test execution on the hardware in loop bench setup Test reporting, defect tracking and supportive function

Your Background

• System level functional testing of BCM,Gateway . Communication protocols : CAN/CANFD, LIN, UDS, Automotive ETHERNET, DoIP (Ethernet knowledge is a must)
• Know-how on Functional Safety standards and Testing
• Know-how on Cyber Security on automotive products and Testing
• Working experience with Automated Test environment /Manual Test benches
• Experience in test environment setup and debugging
• Experience in Serial communication Physical layer testing (CAN/LIN/ETHERNET)
• Communication tools: CANoe, CANStress, VSpy, Saint Hands on and automation experience in Test & Measurement equipment [Oscilloscope, Function generators etc]
• Programming skills – C, CAPL, LABVIEW, Test Stand Hands on experience in HMI Test automation supporting different languages – Typically English & Chinese
• Experience in Configuration, Requirements and Problem Management Tools like DOORS/Polarion, CM Synergy/Plastic SCM, Change Synergy/JIRA etc
• Experience in defining the test strategy, test planning, test execution and reporting
• Experience in working with Global OEMs/India OEMs
• Experience of working in Agile development environment (Auto Scrum)
• Strong Problem Solving Skills
• Knowledge of ASPICE processes

• Experience working with Spring Boot and Struts.
• Master’s degree in Computer science, Computer Engineering, or related degree programs.
• Front-end development experience with React, Typescript, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for AI-assisted coding and a track record of using state of the art tools to enhance development speed, efficiency, and code quality.
• Familiar with database schema design principles, DB query languages such as SQL, and Domain-Driven Design principles.
• Experience working with large data sets.
