Job summary

Tech Mahindra in Pune is seeking an experienced automotive seating design engineer with 5+ years of design and development background. You will own end-to-end product development for seating systems, including frames, plastics, foams and comfort features, while coordinating open issues and weekly progress.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in Automotive Seating - Design & Development.
• Experience on Seat Frames, Plastics, Seat Foam and comfort features (ventilation, heating, massage, leather trimming).
• Strong Process knowledge of component & function development.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills (Open Issues, weekly reporting).
• Having VW Product Emergence Process Knowledge is a strong advantage.
• Complete ownership of product development with very minimal supervision.
• Strong Decision making ability from technical experience.
• All Prototype & Series Build CAD support role is required.
• Understanding of DFM & DFA.

Responsibilities

• Maintain process documentation and escalation when needed.
• Apply DFM and DFA principles during design.

Job Description:

• Strong Process knowledge of component & function development
• Process documentation and presentation capabilities with excellent communication, e.g. Open Issues, weekly reporting & tracking, timely escalations.
• Having VW Product Emergence Process Knowledge is strong advantage
• Complete ownership of product development is required with very minimal support from team lead
• Strong Decision making ability coming from technical experience
• All Prototype & Series Build CAD support role is required, strong experience is expected
