Job summary

JSW MG Motor India Pvt Ltd in India seeks an Automotive Electrical Switch Engineer to drive development of electrical switches, sensors and electro-mechanical components for vehicles. You will design hardware connections, prepare SOR, and lead technical reviews with suppliers, and support vehicle builds from mule to saleable.

You will perform design validation, run vehicle tests, conduct root-cause analysis, manage ECN and supplier performance, and work in cross-functional teams in a plant

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive electrical switch design and verification.
• Experience coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Know automotive electrical switches, sensors and electro-mechanical components.
• Prepare SOR, finalize specifications and lead supplier technical reviews.
• Electrical switch design including hardware and electrical connections.
• Develop design validation plan and conduct vehicle testing and benchmarking.
• ECN management and supplier feedback loop from build to design.
• Support vehicle build from mule to saleable.
• Root cause analysis and fault finding on vehicle.
• Periodic supplier audits to improve quality and processes.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Automotive Electrical Switch development

• Knowledge of different types of automotive electrical switches, sensors & electro-mechanical components
• Preparing SOR, finalizing technical specification & technical reviews with suppliers
• Electrical Switch designing including Hardware, electrical connections.
• Work out design validation plan, vehicle testing, benchmarking.
• ECN management.
• Supplier management by close loop feedback from build to design correction.
• Support for vehicle build from mule to saleable.
• Expertise in Issue resolution, fault finding on vehicle, root cause analysis
• Root Cause Analysis for all the Engineering issues of testing, in plant or field issues
• Periodic audits of suppliers to improve the quality and process improvements.

Preferred candidate profile

Expert in resolving the Electrical issues on-time and Quick First level analysis and in-depth root causing capabilities. Exposure to Cross-functional and multi-cultural working environment. Good Team Player and comfortable to work in Plant environment & multitasking.
