Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Software Test Analyst to join the Maverick team in our Billing and Funding group. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automation scripts for both manual and automated testing.

You will identify and track defects, collaborate with developers, and ensure new scripts are properly integrated into the automation pack. Mentoring junior team members is also expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software testing experience (manual & automated).
• Experience with testing frameworks– Selenium.
• Manual testing, automation tools, SQL queries.
• Programming: Java, Python; Jenkins, AWS, Kafka basics.
• Good verbal and written communication to varied audiences.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving and time management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and scripts for manual and automated testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects with developers to resolve them.
• Update/integrate new scripts in the test automation pack.
• Investigate and report defects discovered; re-test after fixes.
• Provide regular progress/status reports as required.
• Independently contribute and mentor junior team members.

What you’ll own

• Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases and test scripts for both manual and automated testing
• Identify, document and track defects and issues, collaborating with developers to resolve them
• Ensuring new scripts are updated/integrated in the test automation pack
• Investigation and reporting of defects/bugs discovered, following re-test after fix
• Delivering regular progress/status reports as required
• Should be an individual contributor with minimum supervision. Also, should be able to mentor junior team member

What you’ll bring

• 4 + years of experience in software testing with focus on both manual and automated testing.
• Experience with testing frameworks– Selenium
• Manual Testing, Automation Tools, SQL queries,
• Programming Language: Java, Python, Jenkins, AWS, Kafka basic knowledge
• Good verbal and written communication to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team and time management skills
