Job summary

Rhythm Innovations is seeking a Test Engineer - QA & Automation with strong functional, automation, and AI-assisted testing experience. The candidate will independently understand requirements, design test scenarios, execute testing, identify defects, and leverage AI tools to generate, review, debug, and improve automation code.

Responsibilities include designing tests, building web automation with Playwright or Selenium, performing API tests with Postman and SQL data checks, and collaborating

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software testing experience with functional and regression testing.
• Hands-on automation testing with Playwright or Selenium.
• Experience using AI tools for coding and test automation.
• API testing with REST and SQL knowledge.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and defect lifecycle.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
• Design and maintain test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Develop and maintain web automation using Playwright / Selenium or similar tools.
• Use AI coding assistants / AI agents to generate, enhance, debug, and maintain automation code.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, maintainability, and test coverage.
• Perform API testing using Postman / REST APIs and validate backend data using SQL where required.
• Log, track, retest, and manage defects using Azure DevOps / Jira.
• Work closely with Product and Engineering teams throughout the SDLC.
• Support CI/CD-based automation execution and reporting, and independently own assigned modules.

• Develop and maintain web automation using Playwright / Selenium or similar tools.
• Use AI coding assistants / AI agents to generate, enhance, debug, and maintain automation code.

Required Skills

• Experience with REST API testing and basic to intermediate SQL knowledge.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and defect lifecycle.
• Good analytical, debugging, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with WebdriverIO / Appium for mobile automation.
• Exposure to AWS, Git, and CI/CD. Experience with Salesforce or enterprise applications.
• Basic understanding of performance and security testing.
