Job summary

Birlasoft is seeking an Automation Quality Engineer skilled in Selenium, Java, and TypeScript with Playwright to build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI and API testing.

You will design, implement, and run automated tests across UI and API layers, integrating test execution into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins. Strong communication and collaboration with Dev and QA teams are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing.

Birlasoft is hiring Automation Quality Engineer with Selenium, Java & Typescript, Playwrite.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing with strong expertise in Test Automation and Quality Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in Playwright with TypeScript, including developing, enhancing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks. Strong proficiency in TypeScript with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming and automation design patterns. Strong knowledge of test framework architecture, reporting, logging, test data management, and debugging techniques.
• Experience in automating RESTful APIs, including request/response validation, API chaining, schema validation, authentication (OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Keys), and integration testing.
• Experience in designing and executing automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites across UI and API layers.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (understanding of YAML-based pipeline) using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools, including integration of automated test execution into release pipelines.
• Experience working and collaborating closely with Development, QA, and DevOps stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and drive automation initiatives.
