Job summary

Pharmalab in India seeks an Automation Engineer with strong Siemens experience to design, develop and support machines using S7-1200/1500/300/400, HMI, and WinCC. You will work on DI/DO/AI/AO concepts, review P&ID, and assist with R&D/D&D activities across design teams.

The role requires 2–3 years of hands-on development and field execution, along with documentation, client interaction, and adherence to ISO 9000 practices. Candidates will engage in service support and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Siemens S7-1200/1500/300/400 development tools (TIA Portal, Simatic Manager).
• Experience with Siemens HMI development (TIA Portal, Simatic Manager).
• Knowledge of Siemens WinCC development (WinCC Comfort/Basic/Advanced/Professional).
• Understanding of VBA/C++/scripting requirements for automation tasks.
• Development and field execution experience (2-3 years) with the specified software.
• Ability to review P&ID for R&D/D&D work.
• Understanding machine & field instrument behavior for DI/DO/AI/AO requirements.
• Ability to discuss process queries with design/client for clearance.
• Generate automation documents: I/O details, communication, alarm matrix, screen navigation, interlock schedules, third-party comms.
• Provide service support for automation issues and coordinate with FAT/onsite clients.
• Adhere to ISO 9000 processes per company requirements.
• Proactively explore new automation technologies for product development.
• Take initiative for new product/features development in R&D/D&D.

• Development & field execution experience of minimum 2-3 years with above programming software.
• Review and understand design P&ID for R&D/D&D work.
• Understand machine & field instruments with DI/DO/AI/AO requirements.
• Discuss process questions with design/client for technical clearance.
• Produce automation documentation: I/O details, communication, alarm matrix, screens, interlock schedules, third-party communication needs, etc.
• Provide service support for automation issues and coordinate between internal FAT/external client and service team.
• Contribute to good automation manufacturing practices to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Improvise with new automation technologies for product development in system.
• Take initiative for new product/features development (R&D/D&D).
• Ensure quality of deliverables for projects.
• Follow ISO 9000 process as per management requirements.
• Be available for call as needed by HOD/GM/Director.

• 4. Engineer must have different product of Siemens technological configuration idea or knowledge
• 5. Engineer must have knowledge/understanding of VBA/C++/Script requirement language

• 7. Able to review and understand design P & ID of different Machine for R&D / D&D workout
• 8. Able to understand machine & field instrument with their working Behavior for programming concept in terms of DI/DO/AI/AO requirement

• 10. Able to generate require automation document like I/O details, communication details, Alarm matrix, Screen Navigation Manual, Interlock Schedule & Performance or any third part communication requirement details etc.
• 11. Able to provide service Support for Automation complain and coordination between Internal client (FAT) / External client and service team
• 12. Continually involve in Good Automation Manufacturing work practices within the center to improve efficiency and productivity
• 13. Able to improvise with new industrial automation technology for further new development improvisation in system
• 14. Take initiative and involvement for new product and new features development activity (R & D/D & D)
• 15. Responsible to ensure quality of deliverables for projects/Jobs
• 16. Follow ISO 9000 process as per PIPL Management requirement
• 17. Able to take call as and when as per company need for different kind of activity provided by HOD/GM/Director etc.
