Job DescriptionWe are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with around 8 years of experience to design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for web and/or API-based applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in testing concepts, hands-on automation experience, and the ability to work closely with development and product teams in an agile environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and API applicationsExecute automated and manual test cases and analyze test resultsCollaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and define test scenariosCreate and maintain test plans, test cases, and test dataIdentify, log, and track defects using defect management tools (JIRA or similar)Perform regression, smoke, and sanity testing as part of release cyclesParticipate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectivesEnsure test coverage and quality metrics are met before releasesContinuously improve automation frameworks, test coverage, and testing processesRequired Skills & Qualifications8+ years of experience in QA with strong focus on test automationStrong understanding of software testing fundamentals (STLC, SDLC, test design techniques)Experience working with test frameworks like TestNG, Cucumber and Gauge etc.Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks such as:Selenium / Playwright / CypressProficiency in at least one programming language:Java / Python / JavaScriptExperience in API testing (Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools)Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.)Experience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsFamiliarity with version control systems like GitGood analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and collaboration abilitiesAbout State StreetAcross the globe, institutional investors rely on us to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability.
