Job summary

JobItUs is seeking an accomplished Automation Engineer to design, develop, program, and commission industrial automation systems including PLC, HMI, SCADA, and control panels. You will ensure reliable performance and client satisfaction on diverse projects.

You will handle system design, PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, panel wiring support, FAT testing, on-site commissioning, and technical documentation, while coordinating with the client and design teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Diploma, Be, Betech preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation concepts per client requirements.
• Develop and modify PLC programs; design and configure HMI/SCADA screens.
• Support control panel wiring and integration; configure PLC, HMI, VFD, and other devices.
• Perform FAT, on-site commissioning, and troubleshoot startup issues.
• Prepare technical documentation and maintain revision records.
• Coordinate with client and provide training and after-sales support.

Job description

Role Purpose

To design, develop, program, and commission industrial automation systems including PLC, HMI, SCADA, and control panels, ensuring efficient system performance, reliability, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. System Design & Development - Develop automation concepts based on client requirements. Prepare I/O list, control philosophy, and system architecture. Coordinate with Design team for panel drawings and layouts.
2. Technical Evaluation - Develop and modify PLC programs. Design and configure HMI/SCADA screens. Perform logic testing and debugging.
3. Panel & System Integration - Support control panel wiring and integration. Configure PLC, HMI, VFD, and other automation devices. Ensure proper communication between devices (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, etc.).
4. Testing & Commissioning - Conduct Factory Acceptance Test (FAT). Supervise installation and commissioning at site. Troubleshoot system issues during startup.
5. Documentation & Reporting - Prepare technical documentation and manuals. Maintain program backup and revision records. Submit commissioning and project reports.
6. Client Coordination - Understand client technical requirements. Provide technical support and training to customers. Handle modifications and after-sales support if required.
